About Me

I am passionate about serving in a therapeutic capacity. I thoroughly enjoy guiding and companioning others in their growth, development and exploration. My journey to this point has been adventurous and non-linear, starting in a Midwestern working class town, where as a freshmen in high school I began my work life as a clerk in a grocery store. Educational opportunities in mathematics and quantitative studies of animal behavior brought me to the Pacific Northwest in 2003 where I have resided since.

More than a decade of meditative and other reflective practices brought me toward psychological and spiritual studies. I received a Master’s of Psychology-Systems Counseling from the Leadership Institute of Seattle. I have been in the field for 10 years as a Clinician, Supervisor and Manager in an agency setting in King County, WA. I provided and supported others in providing compassionate, creative and flexible services for low-income children and families. In this work I had the pleasure of sharing the therapeutic journey with folks from numerous walks of life with a wide array of concerns and needs. I gained experience serving folks of varying race, ethnicity, economic status, immigration status, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity.

Personally, I enjoy the natural world; observing and contemplating its wondrous beauty, rhythmic cycles and intricate connections. I enjoy running, reading, laughter, friendship, working in the yard, hitting baseballs, cooking and fermenting vegetables. I have a spiritual and reflective practice that guides my life and work. Please review the My Approach page for more information on the type and nature of services I provide.
